Susan Ralston, Special Assistant to the President, the top aide to Karl Rove, former top aide to Jack Abramoff at both Greenberg Traurig and Preston Gates Ellis resigned Thursday after being linked to Abramoff's incredible access to the White House.

She may have saved Rove's job until after the election.
