Attorney General Alberto (torture innocent Canadians until they admit they are Al-Qaida) Gonzales has admitted that his grandparents were illegal aliens from Mexico.

Can we deport him?

A good read. A quick read, but a good read.

Over the last two days our White House got stomped with two feet.

The first was the leak of the National Intelligence Estimate. The CIA says the war in Iraq is not fighting terrorism, it is creating terrorists.

The second boot to fall was the testimony yesterday before a Congressional committee of several generals who recently fought in Iraq. Major General John Batiste, who commanded the 1st Infantry Division in Iraq in 2004 and 2005, said "Secretary Rumsfeld's dismal strategy decisions resulted in the unnecessary deaths of American servicemen and women..."
see Washington Post

Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice have killed American soldiers with their incompetence.

Our President, in an interview, said that when we look back at the war in Iraq, it will be just a "comma" in our history. America will forget the 2,700 dead heros, 20,000 injured.

Bill Clinton, in his interview this morning, repeatedly told Chris Wallace to read this book. Clarke tells the facts of our fight against Al Qaida from his position inside four administrations.

I would not normally recommend watching Fox news, but tomorrow morning on Fox news Sunday, the Chris Wallace interview with Bill Clinton will be worth watching.
ThinkProgress.org has the transcript and some other good stuff.
Clinton rips Fox pretty good.

I searched the Forbes list of the 400 richest Americans, out today.

I'm not on it. Maybe you are: www.forbes.com

That crazy President Hugo Chavez of Venezuela spoke to the U.N. today:
"The devil came here yesterday. He came here talking as if he were the owner of the world. It still smells of sulfur today."

Pat Robertson was right.

The problem is, he got loud applause for this statement. Our President, speaking to the same audience yesterday, got polite applause.

Muslims in space!

Anousheh Ansari went into space this morning aboard the Soyuz, becoming the first woman to pay for a ride into space.
Ansari moved from Iran to the U.S. at 16. She spoke no English. She received her master's degree in electrical engineering from George Washington University.
Ansari convinced her husband to leave jobs at MCI to start telecom technologies, inc., which they sold to Sonus Networks for a reported $550 million in stock in 2000. She is currently chairman of Prodea Systems, Inc.

The $10 million Ansari X-Prize went to Burt Rutan's Scaled Composites crew that put SpaceShipOne, the first private flight, into space.

My President lied to me.

I didn't come to this revelation on Friday when the Senate Intelligence Committee issued their report. See AP story

It has been creeping up on me for awhile. I didn't want to admit it.

Only recently has it hit me with full impact.

Bush, Cheney, Rice are liars. We are not safer. The terror we experience is coming from the White House. If Al-Qaida kills another 3000 Americans, we will survive. America will survive and flourish. I am not in terror of them.
Being forced to remove our shoes to board an aircraft is terrorism.

I was born into a Southern Democratic family. We converted to Southern Republican. We voted for Reagan, voted for Bush (we weren't crazy about Quale), voted against the Clintons, voted for Bush-Cheney. Proudly.

My seven years in Scientology made me an even more rabid Republican. I thought Ann Coulter was sexy. Limbaugh, Hannity and O'Reilly were our only truth. Fox News, the only news.
The only disappointment was that Newt Gingrich's Contract with America balanced budget was being spent out of existence by our Republican congress.

Now that the Republican-controlled Senate Intelligence Committee has released the truth about our intelligence leading up to the Iraq war, I realize that
MY PRESIDENT LIED TO ME.

My President lied to me.

Clinton did it:

Fox News today reported that President Bill Clinton conspired with Al-Qaida to bring down the World Trade Center. see Fox story

Today's Senate report that Saddam Hussein had not helped Al-Qaida, coupled with the ABC docudrama this weekend, led Fox to conclude that, if Saddam did't do it
, it must have been Clinton.

On Labor Day we recommended Apple (AAPL). In the three days of trading this week, the stock has gone from 68.38 to 72.80, up 4.42.
We had no idea of our influence.

As if I didn't have enough problems:

I live well inland, but I have developed a new, unexplainable fear of stingrays.

It has become debilitating. I will try to continue tomorrow.

I hope your Labor Day has been a good one.

Mine was good. Cookout - hot dogs on the grill. Just me, but...it was good.

Cold twelve-pack of Miller Lite. Hot iBook on my lap.

Smooth segue: Rumors of new iPods next Tuesday Sept. 12. New iMac, possible movies on iTunes.

After six days of this, I think I'll rest.

I called L.A. last night. I was quickly told that I had been disconnected and they hung up.
"Disconnected" is a Church term that means no Scientologist can have any contact with me. I have been ruled a Suppressive Person.

Somebody has looked at my blog!

Another upside is that my ex-wife (no. 2) will stop calling me. She is an OT II (Operating Thetan two).
And you won't have to read any more gossip from California.
Unless some volunteers step up.

My father's name was George. He had a good life. As George, Junior, I could have had a good life. My mother started calling me Little Richie before I was born. She still does. She was a big fan of the Dick Van Dyke show. Mary Tyler Moore's kid was named Richie.

I was fine until the 4th grade. The year my classmates discovered what they could do with my name. High school was hell. Four high schools. The last was the best until graffiti began to appear on the restroom walls. Then on walls outside. I was expelled, accused of doing it to attract attention. Without evidence, they kicked me out for being a "disruptive influence".

Years later, the promise of ridding myself of some of the pain led me to Scientology. The ability to clear bad memories, "engrams", through auditing seemed like a godsend. I will delve in subsequent posts.
