Forty-five minutes later a pale and shaken Bush told his staff to cancel Victory in Iraq.

We may never know exactly what took place, but a very upset aide has reported overhearing Cheney bragging loudly to Karl that he had told the President that Cheney would, "pull his plug" if he tried to roll out this "victory crap".

He assured the President that he would use his Abramoff knowledge, leaked to Speaker Pelosi, to have him impeached.

Tony Snow would not comment.
