Today, at the Detroit Auto Show, General Motors introduced the Chevrolet Volt concept car - a plug-in hybrid that can be recharged with a cord or with it's tiny engine-generator.
A great step forward for the company that killed the electric car with it's ill-conceived EV1.

GM Vice Chairman Bob Lutz said, "What put me o
ver the edge was the Tesla."

Instead of building another funny looking little car, Tesla Motors in California created a brilliant, beautiful supercar that, at 0-60 in 4
seconds, can run with the fastest Ferrari and Porsche.
It's top speed is limited to 130mph (vs. 50 for so
me electrics). It will go 250 miles on a charge. No gas engine. Total electric.
I want one. www.teslamotors.com
